The Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) is a mark of quality that has been developed to ensure the highest standards of practice in the Renewable Energy sector for all single renewable appliances under 45kw with a total installed capacity of 70kw.
Green Square is accredited to MCS, so you will have complete peace of mind that your new heating system will have been designed to meet the specific requirements of your home, using only our approved products and installed by one of our trained and assessed professionals.
As a customer, you will be treated fairly and honestly. You will be protected from pushy salespeople and from having to pay too much up front. You will be able to make an informed decision in your own time having been provided with calculations and cost analysis before you sign any contract. This is because MCS also requires Green Square to hold membership to a Consumer Code as well.
You will also have the extra protection of deposit insurance and a 2 year warranty, meaning any problems that arise will be dealt with quickly and effectively, which is another rule in the consumer code for MCS installers.
Your installation will actually cost you very little because you will be able to recoup most (if not all) of the cost over a 7 year period from the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI). This is only available if your system was installed and commissioned by an MCS accredited company like Green Square.
So if faced with the choice between an MCS installer and one who isn’t, it would seem to be a fairly easy decision. You will have an installation which will have been installed to a rigorously high standard with tested and approved equipment by Green Square's professionally trained and assessed installers.
The contract and the code of conduct of the Green Square installation is regulated to make sure that you are treated fairly. You will be provided with a 2 year warranty which obliges us to deal with any issues as speedily and effectively as possible. As if that wasn’t enough, you would be eligible to claim for RHI (Renewable Heat Incentive), which means that your system could even pay for itself!
If you opt for a company without MCS, none of the benefits or assurances mentioned here will apply to your new renewable energy installation and you will be taking an unnecessary risk with your home’s heating system entirely at your own cost.
